Archaeologists Discover Ancient Weed at Ancient Grave Site
Marijuana plants were covering the body.
A total of 13 plants were preserved over a male body, covering his entire torso.
The discovery was made during an exploration of the Jiayi Cemetery in Turpan, which is located east of Xinjiang.
Marijuana seeds have been found in grave sites around the area, but this is the first time entire plants have been excavated from a burial site within the cemetery. There's no official word on what exactly the cannabis plants were used for when it comes to the burial process.
