Cirque du Soleil and Club Med are Helping Guests Try Out Circus Acts
Included: high bungee, flying trapeze, aerial silk, and, of course, tightrope walking.
Cirque du Soleil, a circus-style spectacle populated by a troupe of 1,300 performers from over 50 countries, has gained millions of followers around the globe with its stunts. And now it’s expanding the brand’s footprint by opening a facility in the Dominican Republic. This isn’t a new show—rather, it’s an interactive experience for kids and adults.
In June, the Club Med Punta Cana will launch Creactive, a new recreational, fitness-style area where guests can try their hand at high bungee, flying trapeze, aerial silk, tightrope, trampoline, and juggling, among other skills. Better still, Creactive doesn’t cost a penny extra: Since the beachside Club Med is all-inclusive, the program is wrapped into the price. Doubles start at $129 per person.
