The Jinmao Tower in Shanghai has an unusual attraction for thrillseekers: On the skyscraper's 88th floor, there is a glass walkway with not even handrails to block the views.

The walkway—which opened to the public on Thursday—doesn't just let people walk around without any safety apparatus, though. There are harnesses, reminiscent of rock climbing gear, that keep them from going for an 1,115-foot freefall.

The price to go for a 30-minute walk among the clouds is 388 yuan (about US$58.50) per person. Only 15 people are allowed on the glass walkway at a time.

It is the highest outdoor, handrail-free walkway in the world, according to the Straits Times.
