Ina Garten has a new place to cook her famous recipes and to host elegant dinner parties with the understated style that made her famous. The popular chef, who’s famous for her cookbooks and her show Barefoot Contessa, recently purchased an apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side with her husband (and occasional guest star) Jeffrey.

It’s a prime pied-à-terre for Garten, who has a big estate in East Hampton where she films her show. It’s not as sprawling as her other home, but by New York City standards it’s luxurious and spacious with a living room that has a 10 foot ceiling. The apartment features two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a library, and three fireplaces. Of course, there’s a newly remodeled kitchen with modern stainless steel appliances, ample cabinet storage, and unique décor details like an oversized light fixture and striped countertops. The listing photos show a beautifully decorated pre-war space with plenty of natural sunlight—its previous owner was a former editor-in-chief of a design magazine. Nearby, there’s plenty to do with Central Park and designer boutiques stores like Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman nearby.
