One of the world’s best beach resorts is taking a voyage into another part of the travel world, and it wants you to come aboard.

Vidanta, a luxury vacation brand of beach resorts in Mexico from Grupo Vidanta, announced today that the company is launching a new cruise brand, Vidanta Cruises. This new venture will bring guests luxurious vacation options on both land and sea, according to the company.

Vidanta Cruises’ first ship, Vidanta Elegant, will welcome its first guests beginning in the fall of 2019, the company announced in a statement. At the moment, itineraries, voyage lengths, destinations, and cruising dates are currently being finalized.

“We have built a legacy 45 years in the making based on the extraordinary luxury and personalized service offered by our resort vacations,” said Iván Chávez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta in a company statement. “Now we’re extending that legacy to the open sea while utilizing our unique perspective as a Mexican company to give access to the hidden gems of the coastline and rarely offered transformative cultural experiences.”

The company has renovated its new ship to be a vessel that’s truly worthy of its name. Expert designers have worked to create sophisticated and stylish interiors with bespoke construction, making it a one-of-a-kind ship for guests to call home while they cruise along the Mexican coast.

The ship will have 149 staterooms and suites on board, serving a maximum of 298 passengers, as well as a one-to-one passenger-to-crew ratio, including a personal concierge, so that guests feel catered to during their stay.

Even though the small amount of rooms and a high number of staff seems a little intimate, the stately ship is quite spacious, so guests can spread out in their rooms way more than they might on other cruise lines. The ship itself is 153 meters (about 502 feet) long, complete with six public decks and dining areas, 11 bars and lounges, an entertainment venue, a full-service spa and fitness center, a top deck pool and many jacuzzis to relax in. Famous chefs, Chef Eric Pansu and Pastry Chef Pascal Molines, are also on staff to offer world-class dining to guests for every meal.

In addition to possibly being one of the most luxurious vacations on the water, guests at the Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort can also split their trip between the Vidanta Cruise and a beach vacation, so they never have to choose between the land or the sea.
