The Design Is Well Thought Out
While many river cruise ships have a bland aesthetic, the Beatrice’s nautically-inspired blue-and-white palette is bold. Throughout, you’ll find monochromatic spaces that mix blue patterned curtains and wallpaper, eye-catching artwork (from the likes of Picasso and Calder), and gleaming marble floors. Look for a white Murano glass chandelier (topped with little blue lampshades) in the foyer, alongside the signature nickel and wrought iron central staircase.

You’ll Have Dining Choices
It’s great to see river cruises move away from just having one single dining room and one lounge. When this ship was refurbished in 2018, two new dining spaces were added. Now, in addition to the main dining room (Mozart’s) and a lounge (Wolfgang’s) there are also a café with Austrian small plates (Max’s) and a European-style cooking school that focuses on Continental cuisine (Schubert’s).

There Are New Cabin Options
In the 2018 renovations, two new Grand Suites (which are 310 square feet each) and an Owner’s Suite (390 square feet) were added. Connecting cabins were also added to serve families that are traveling as a group.

You’ll Find an Attention to Detail in the Cabins
Cabins have plush Savoir Beds of England, Asprey toiletries, high-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, and a pillow menu. Suites feel like a significant upgrade and in addition to more space they also have Hermès products and plenty of marble.
