America's Test Kitchen

Fans of America’s Test Kitchen, take note: Holland America Line is bringing the show to its ships with live demonstrations hosted by onboard chefs. The program will debut on the Westerdam and Nieue Amsterdam in October and November before rolling out on the entire fleet by June of 2017.

Each ship will have carve out space for a studio resembling the America’s Test Kitchen set. The line’s chefs have also been trained by ATK's culinary experts to ensure quality instruction, but you may catch one of the show’s cooks or personalities on the ship from time to time.

Demonstrations will be free, can accommodate up to 200 people, and last 45 minutes. They’ll cover a variety of topics—from Asian dumplings to cooking with chilies. Additionally, passengers looking for a more hands-on experience can opt for one of the 90-minute workshops. There, a smaller group will learn specific skill sets like making pasta or baking a pie.

Those not wanting to take too much time away from the pool can enjoy 24-hour access to episodes of America’s Test Kitchen programs from their rooms.
