The largest ancient Egyptian Sphinx in the Western Hemisphere has lived in the Penn Museum for 100 years. After welcoming visitors for a century, he’s in need of a vacation.

To celebrate its 100th anniversary in Philadelphia this October, the Penn Museum wants you to take a “portable Sphinx” with you to a favorite spot or destination and snap a photo with you in it.

Download and print out the Portable Sphinx here. Take him to other museums, historic locations, sports games, or on your next weekend getaway.

When you share your photo, add a caption, and you could win a private tour of the Penn Museum’s Egypitan Galleries, a one-year membership to the museum, and more.

Head to the museum on Saturday, Oct. 19th for “Hijinks with the Sphinx,” an event commemorating the Sphinx's arrival with Egyptian kitsch displays and an Indiana Jones-style obstacle course.
