Travel + Leisure Editorial Guidelines Published on April 6, 2023 Share Tweet Pin Email A great hotel is so much more than just a room. A truly memorable property can become a cherished place you return to again and again. A place you tell your friends about. A place that feels like home (or, a total escape from home, when that’s what you need). That’s why Travel + Leisure’s editors have spent the last year tracking the essential hotel openings and reopenings around the world for our annual It List, which took us to 37 countries on six continents. T+L writers and editors visited a mountain oasis in Morocco, an over-the-top beach resort in Bali, a culinary paradise in France's Loire Valley, a lovingly restored spa in Sedona, Arizona, and city-chic properties in Berlin, Doha, and New York, among others. Ahead, you’ll find a hotel for every traveler. This year's list is broken down into seven categories, to help you choose a stay based on the vacation you're craving. We've also, of course, included the full list of 100 hotels, so you can see all the awardees in one place. While we've included major openings and long-awaited renovations, we've also spotlighted under-the-radar gems.
