Stephen Heyman

Stephen Heyman is a writer and editor with more than 20 years of journalistic experience. He was previously a features editor at T: The New York Times Style Magazine and a staff news assistant on The New York Times's foreign and culture desks. Prior to joining The Times, Stephen was an editorial assistant at Fodor's Travel and a reporting intern and news clerk for The Palm Beach Post. His work has also appeared in Condé Nast Traveler, Slate, Vogue, Travel + Leisure, and The Wall Street Journal, among others. His first book, “The Planter of Modern Life,” a biography of novelist and farmer Louis Bromfield, won the IACP Award for literary/historical food writing and was long-listed for the Plutarch Prize for best biography. He lives in Innsbruck, Austria, with his family.
