Richard Godwin Richard Godwin has been a journalist for nearly two decades. He began his career at The Evening Standard and worked his way up, holding many roles, including listings editor, deputy arts editor, columnist, and senior writer. During his time at the publication, he interviewed everyone from Zadie Smith to the Dalai Lama and was nominated for two UK Press Awards for his columns. An expert on all things alcoholic, Richard wrote a weekly cocktail column for the paper. Richard has been a freelance feature writer since leaving The Evening Standard in 2015 (while continuing to contribute regularly to the paper). His work has appeared in The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Independent, Sunday Times, Observer, Vogue, Elle, Mr Porter, Men's Health, Condé Nast Traveller, Travel + Leisure, Spectator, and others.
