Owen Clarke Owen Clarke is a freelance journalist with more than a decade of experience covering adventure travel and the outdoors. His writing has appeared in Outside, Climbing, Trail Runner, Gym Climber, Travel + Leisure, Backpacker, Ski, The Outdoor Journal, Yoga Journal, Triathlete, Women’s Running, Oxygen, PodiumRunner, Footwear News, and many other publications. As a lifelong rock climber and mountaineer, he currently serves as an editor-at-large for Climbing and the executive editor of Skydiving Source and Indoor Skydiving Source. In addition to writing and editing for outdoor sports and travel outlets, Owen has worked with more than 30 outdoor brands, including Black Diamond, Arc’teryx, The North Face, Outdoor Research, Petzl, REI, and La Sportiva, as well as nonprofits such as Access Fund. He currently works as a lead writer for the adventure filming and mountaineering guiding company Benegas Brothers Productions + Expeditions.
