Nikolas Koenig

Born in Frankfurt, Germany, Nikolas Koenig moved to New York in 1995 after studying photography at the Academy for Photo Design in Munich. He has shot for magazines such as Travel + Leisure, Architectural Digest, Vogue, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, Harper’s Bazaar, Wallpaper, and the New York Times Magazine. As one of the most prolific hospitality photographers in the world, he regularly shoots for hoteliers including Ian Schrager and André Balazs. He has also photographed architecture and interiors for many well-known architects and designers, including Daniel Libeskind, Renzo Piano, Tadao Ando, 1100 Architect, David Rockwell, Annabelle Selldorf, and Tom Kundig.
