Nancy Trejos Nancy Trejos is a journalist with more than two decades of experience covering travel. She was previously the cruise editor at Travel Weekly and the hospitality editor at Skift. For seven years, Nancy was a travel reporter for USA Today, where she wrote about hotels, airlines, cruises, and every other aspect of the travel industry. Prior to that, she was a staff writer at The Washington Post for 12 years. During her decade-plus at the newspaper, she covered various beats, including travel from 2009 to 2011, as well as real estate, personal finance, and education. In 2006, she ventured to Baghdad to write about the war in Iraq during a two-month tour of duty. Nancy has also worked as a reporter for the Los Angeles Times, as an editorial assistant at the Associated Press, and as a contributor to Latina magazine. She is the author of the personal finance memoir “Hot (broke) Messes: How to Have Your Latte and Drink It Too.” Nancy’s father is from Colombia and her mother is from Ecuador, so she spends as much time as possible in South America.
