Lindsay Talbot

Lindsay Talbot drew the inspiration for her estate wedding from the 1950s black-and-white photographs of Miss Sidney Bacon’s outdoor garden fete and Evelyn Byrd Dows’ midsummer wedding. As the former assistant features editor at Vogue, she was working on the magazine’s wedding vertical when she came across them. Since then, she’s held roles as the senior editor at Harper’s Bazaar and Condé Nast Traveler and has been a contributing writer for The New York Times, covering sustainability, culture, travel, architecture, fashion history, and interior design. Lindsay’s freelance work has also been featured in The New York Times, HuffPost, Travel + Leisure, Vogue, Marie Claire, Condé Nast Traveler, and Departures. Throughout her career as a journalist, Lindsay’s reported on the fashion industry’s enormous environmental footprint and advocated for more sustainable policies. She works with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), and as a member of the Selection Committee for the CFDA/Lexus Eco-Challenge, to help achieve this goal. Lindsay applauds the slow travel movement (train ride, anyone?) and just can’t shake the nostalgic smell of jasmine she remembers from her childhood family vacation spot in Bermuda.
