Latifah Al-Hazza

Latifah Al-Hazza makes it her mission to inspire women to travel, adventure, and explore by carefully creating personalized experiences through her boutique travel company, Femscape Sojourns. Latifah embarked on her first international trip at three months old, has lived in four countries, and has visited five continents and 47 countries. She’s swum with Amazonian Candiru fish in Peru and Ecuador, contracted Dengue fever in Puerto Rico, fallen on top of a colony of fire ants on Mt. Kilimanjaro, and experienced a hotel lockdown for bomb threats in Taiwan. Latifah graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s in broadcast journalism and holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California. She traveled to Turkey for an international reporting class in college, which later won her an Emmy for her reporting skills. Latifah’s work has been featured in CNN Travel, The New York Times, Insider, Reader's Digest, Business Insider Australia, Harper’s Bazaar, and Travel + Leisure. She also worked as an editorial assistant for CNN Travel and a social media manager for Frommer’s. Latifah’s favorite countries are Spain, Hong Kong, Morocco, Vietnam, and Oman, and she won’t leave Tanzania without sampling her favorite foreign dish, ugali.
