Kevin West

Kevin West grew up on a farm where food not only dictated the family’s income but also their identity. In his childhood household, food traditions were fostered and celebrated, a theme that he carries into his cookbook “Saving the Season: A Cook’s Guide to Home Canning, Pickling, and Preserving.” Kevin is also the editor at large at Travel + Leisure, co-author of the book “Edna Lewis: At the Table with an American Original,” a food consultant with clients on both coasts, and the former creative director for Grand Central Market in Los Angeles. He also co-authored “The Grand Central Market Cookbook.” An avid gardener, Kevin’s new project, “Cooking From the Garden,” is a practical guide to growing what you eat. Kevin’s writing has been featured in Travel + Leisure, Martha Stewart Living, Condé Nast Traveler, Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Epicurious, Fine Cooking, Mother Earth News, Food Republic, The Splendid Table, and Departures. He splits his time between the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts and the city of Los Angeles.
