Julie H. Case

Julie H. Case has been a freelance writer and editor for more than two decades. She covers a range of topics including travel, wine, lifestyle, outdoor adventure, food, science, and technology. Her work has appeared in publications including Afar, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Sunset, Wired, Good Housekeeping, Virtuoso Life, and more. Julie was previously a managing editor of Midwest Air Magazine and the associate editor of Alaska Airlines Magazine. She has also held editorial roles at Columns magazine, SagaCity Media Inc., and Wine & Spirits Magazine. Julie spent her childhood among lakes, dunes, woods, and snow in Michigan, which shaped her love of the outdoors. After spending 17 years living in Seattle, she has recently taken up foraging from coast to coast in the U.S. She is currently writing "So I Gather," a book and a corresponding blog. When not on assignment, she can be found foraging for mushrooms, snowboarding, or concocting something in the kitchen.
