Jason Cochran’s love for travel started in 1998 when he embarked on a two-year, round-the-world backpacking trip. He was a pioneer in his field at the time, creating one of the first travel blogs. Since then, he’s been a senior editor at Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel Magazine, a travel writer for The New York Post, and an executive editor for AOL Travel. He co-hosted The Travel Show on WABC radio, a live call-in travel program, and worked as an editorial professional for Travel + Leisure, the New York Post, USA Today, and CBS News' The Early Show. Jason’s work has appeared in The New York Times, Fox News, HuffPost, USA Today, the New York Post, Entertainment Weekly, Flipboard, and Condé Nast Traveler. He is also the author of “Here Lies America: Buried Agendas and Family Secrets at the Tourist Sites Where Bad History Went Down." Jason was awarded Guide Book of the Year twice by the Society of American Travel Writers. Today, Jason is the full-time editor-in-chief at Frommer’s Travel Guides.
