Georgia Kral is a reporter, editor, and journalism professor in New York City with more than 15 years of experience in the culture, food, and lifestyle verticals. Her work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, Esquire, Eater, Dow Jones, amNew York, Slate, Travel + Leisure, and Food & Wine. Georgia began her career freelancing for The New York Times,, The Village Voice, and more. For nearly four years, she worked at amNew York in a variety of roles, from features manager to food and assistant news editor. Georgia now teaches courses in journalism and communication at Saint Peter's University and is also the director of student media. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, the reporter Andrew J. Hawkins, and their two children.
