George Hobica

George Hobica is a travel writer and the founder of Airfarewatchdog.com. He has written for Travel + Leisure, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Health, Good Housekeeping, Real Simple, and dozens of newspapers around the world. George has worked in public relations, corporate identity branding, airline marketing, advertising, education, publishing, and other fields. For over a decade, he worked for America Online, where he developed and operated an airfare tracking site for America Online's Digital City sites. In 2005, he founded Airfarewatchdog.com, and sold it to Expedia in 2007 but continued to work for the site until February 2018. Lately, he has returned to his roots as a freelance and syndicated writer, mostly for newspapers. He currently splits his time between New York City and Los Angeles.
