Abeni Jones Abeni Jones is a trans woman of color writer, editor, and educator based in California. A former middle and high school teacher, she now writes for a variety of publications, is a freelance artist and designer, and facilitates workshops around the country focusing on racial and gender justice and community building. She is currently the managing editor of PushBlack, the nation's largest non-profit media organization for Black Americans.
