That's not much more than a one-day ticket.

Consider it some kind of Harry Potter magic, because Universal Studios Hollywood just made it crazy cheap to visit the park this spring and summer.

The park reintroduced its California Neighbor Pass, which offers 175 days of admission throughout 2019 — including most of May, June, and August — for just $10 more than a one-day ticket. The best part is, you don’t even need to be a California resident to apply, meaning everyone can save loads of money while visiting Universal Studios Hollywood this year.

This special nine-month pass can start on any day, allowing guests to take in the splendor of Hogwarts Castle or hug a Minion whenever they choose, and return dozens of times throughout 2019 for just $149 total.

Blackout dates apply on certain weekends and most of July, but there are plenty of options to visit during peak times to take photos with Hello Kitty or enjoy Butterbeer ice cream within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Even if you’re only planning a vacation, this pass could save you loads over multi-day tickets if the dates line up — and get you a seat on the soon-to-debut Jurassic World ride without having to cough up too much money.

Saving hundreds by purchasing an annual pass instead of theme park tickets is one of our favorite ways to save money at Universal theme parks. (Universal Orlando Resort is still offering its discounted annual pass promotion, but hurry: it ends April 4.)

Purchase Universal Studios Hollywood’s California Neighbor Pass online for $149 — or $159 at the front gate. Passholders will also be eligible for discounts on Halloween Horror Nights tickets, saving even more money while having frightful fun.
