Virtual experiences are our window into the world right now. From museum visits to walks in National Parks to on-screen operas and even a stroll down the Great Wall of China, these virtual visits are making our days at home just a little bit easier, even for a moment. And now, that includes getting a little thrill ride in too.

Fans of Harry Potter can hop on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride at Universal Studios Hollywood and get a quick adrenaline rush, right from their couch.

The video starts out with fans hopping in line before entering the halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Inside, virtual guests can even chat with a few of the paintings and see Dumbledore in action.

Next, riders make their way through the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom along with the Room of Requirement before hopping onto the ride itself to join Harry on a magical ride above the school grounds.

On the journey, riders are met with both friends and foes including a fire-breathing dragon, before running the gauntlet through a cave and ending the ride with a hearty “thank you” from the students.

But, here’s the best part: You can hop right back on for a ride right away and go as many times as you’d like without ever waiting in line.

If nothing else, this virtual ride could whet your appetite for visiting the real thing when all of this is said and done. You could even start plotting a trip now for later in the year. That way, you’ll not only be well-versed in what to expect on the ride, but you’ll also be an expert in how to plan the perfect Universal vacation too.
