Prepare to channel your best Owen Grady, because Universal Hollywood is hosting races themed to the Jurassic World film series.

Fans and athletes alike can take dinosaur selfies, enjoy Jurassic World photo ops and run throughout the California theme park during the Jurassic World 5K on Saturday, Nov. 16 and 10K on Sunday, Nov. 17. (All ages can get in on the action — there’s even a 1K Raptor Run for kids.)

Not only is the race themed to a film starring theme park mainstay Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, but you’ll be jogging through more than Universal Studios Hollywood’s famed theme park. Running Universal’s 5K and 10K race paths wind through the actual Universal Studios lot, where shows such as "The Voice" and "The Good Place" are filmed and classic movies including "Psycho" and "Back to the Future" were shot. And, with photo opportunities along the way — costumes are encouraged, so long as they meet the race requirements — you’re bound to make your own Hollywood-style memories while working up a sweat.

All participants in either race will take home a Jurassic World medal, t-shirt, bag, collectible pin and refreshments, while VIP Packages include themed water bottles, post-race breakfasts and an exclusive photo opportunity. Race admission starts at $75, and if you run both the Jurassic World 5K and 10K, you’ll recieve an extra-special commemorative medal, proving regular exercise just doesn’t have the same thrill unless you’re being chased by a dinosaur.

No matter which you choose, we recommend opting for a package that includes discounted tickets, so you can cool off with Universal Hollywood’s new Jurassic World: The Ride once you’re done. The attraction, which inserts characters including Owen Grady and Claire Dearing into the newly reimaged experience, brings guests face-to-face with velociraptor Blue, a Mosasaurus and other surprise sights from the soon-to-be trilogy.

Universal Running’s Jurassic World races marks the second event of its kind at Universal Studio Hollywood. The inaugural race, a Minions-themed 5K, was met with such excitement that a second date was added. No additional races have been announced, but with a catalogue of horror mainstays and a Harry Potter-themed land at Universal Studios Hollywood already, there’s likely more to come from the California theme park.
