Universal is teaming up with Nintendo to bring a nostalgic treat to its theme parks in Osaka, Orlando, and Hollywood.

The new immersive attractions will give visitors “the fun of stepping into a larger-than-life Nintendo adventure,” immersing them in popular Nintendo games.

While further details on the attractions will be released later, features will include everything from gigantic piranha plants, blocks, and power-ups, to popular characters from the games coming to life as costumed characters.

“We are constantly amazed how the park developers are bringing the essence of our games to life in the real world,” said Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo in an official announcement video. “Since we’re really bringing the world to life, I think Mario will feel like he finally came home.”

Each of the themed areas will include multiple attractions, shops, and restaurants, and will be rolled out separately over the next few years as part of a global partnership between the two companies.
