This Brand New Luxury Water Park Is Opening in the Mexican Riviera
It will have the longest lazy river in Latin America.
A water park isn't necessarily the most glamorous place to visit — until now, that is.
Grupo Vidanta, a luxury tourism company in Mexico and Latin America, offers stays at premier resorts, recently launched its own cruise line, and partners with top-tier brands — including producing a Cirque du Soleil show, JOYA — at the Vidanta Riviera Maya.
Now, the luxury travel brand is launching a brand new experience that will satisfy your love of travel, your inner child, and your appreciation for the finer things in life.
Jungala is a luxury, boutique water park that features thrilling waterslides, as well as incredible food and beverage options in a gorgeous, natural setting at the Vidanta Riviera Maya resort in Mexico.
According to a statement from Grupo Vidanta, guests can explore the beautiful, natural jungle area within the park, which is constructed with rock walls, giant tree formations, waterfalls, bridges, and caves. Not only is this a truly beautiful and unexpected setting for a water park, it’s also a great place to spot local wildlife.
As for thrills, guests can get their kicks on "state-of-the-art rides" including the Aqua Drop, Aqua Loop, Flatline Loop, and Whizzard. The park even has family-friendly sections: the Kids Waterslide Complex and Aqua Play Rain Fortress, which is the largest interactive play structure in the world, according to the company’s statement. The park also features a wave pool with natural beach sand and a massive lazy river over 3,000 feet in length — the longest in Latin America.
“It has always been our goal to offer the most extraordinary vacation experiences for guests, and the opening of the Jungala Luxury Waterpark at Vidanta Riviera Maya will further enhance that by providing another entertainment outlet with deluxe touches," said Iván Chávez, Executive Vice President of Grupo Vidanta
In addition, guests can relax in the lap of luxury by imbibing in the on-site bars and restaurants, including On the Waves Snack Hall, Mojito Bendito Bar, Sand-gria Bar, and the Cocoyol Pool Bar. There will also be a cabana shop and a Bohanna Market for anyone who’d like to get a little shopping done.
And if all of that doesn’t seem luxe enough, groups up to four can also rent a deluxe VIP Cabana with personalized service, champagne, a fruit platter, light bites, dessert platter, in-cabana spa treatments, multiple floors and rooms with exclusive amenities.
Since this is a "bespoke" water park experience, Jungala will have a set daily capacity of guests. So, no need to worry about lines.
Jungala is set to open on June 22, 2019 and will be open to both resort guests and the general public seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
More information can be found on the Jungala website.
