On March 19, the world’s first DreamWorks Animation Water Park, where you and your family can play and swim with characters from movies, like "Shrek," "Kung Fu Panda," and "Madagascar," will open in the complex. “We can’t wait for guests to visit DreamWorks Animation Water Park and experience the completely unique, jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring destination that we have created,” Don Ghermezian, Co-CEO of American Dream, said in a press release obtained by Travel + Leisure. Amongst the various thrill rides of the new water park include Shrek’s Sinkhole Slammer, a swirling ride that takes you through Shrek’s beloved swamp and How To Train Your Dragon’s Toothless Trickling Torpedo, the world’s tallest and longest hydromagnetic water coaster. There are even more winding slides, tube rides, exciting drops, and even some “zero-gravity” moments, according to the American Dream's website. American Dream is home to a number of incredible entertainment options, including a New York City-themed aquarium, a Nickelodeon Universe theme park, and an indoor ski slope. And this new, “over-the-top” water park seems like it will fit in quite well with the other options in this mega-mall. Once you’re done with thrill rides, you can also take some much-needed relaxation in the Bubbly Lazy River, lounge in Forbidden Waters Hot Tubs, and parents can get a delicious drink at King Julien’s Pineapple Jam Swim-up Bar. Other attractions in the water park include Kung Fu Panda’s Temple of Awesomeness, an interactive water play structure, a wave pool, surfing, and a child-friendly Penguins of Madagascar play zone. Tickets for DreamWorks Animation Water Park are on sale now for the March 19th opening day or after. Even more features and experiences will roll out throughout 2020. Was this page helpful?
