Disney announced progress on the lands, which are set to open in 2019, on the company blog. “These two new immersive lands will transport guests to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before wild space where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life and where guests will find themselves in the middle of the action,” wrote George Savvas, public relations director at Disneyland Resort. There will be two new “signature” attractions at the Star Wars lands, both focused on putting visitors in the middle of the Resistance action. Visitors will be able to take control of the Millennium Falcon on a “customized secret mission,” and also be put into “a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.” Was this page helpful?
