Plane photos are all too common—you can't go very long without spotting someone's Instagram shot featuring a city artfully snapped during a plane descent. Instead of snagging a cityscape photo op, Vimeo user Matthew Vandeputte decided to risk annoying fellow passengers with the constant clicking of his shutter mid-flight to capture some absolutely stunning footage of a sunset from thousands of miles in air. We're glad he did. Check it out his hyperlapse, taken on a journey from Gold Coast, Australia to Sydney:
