Watch: A Guide to Toasting Beer Around the World
Brew blog Let's Grab a Beer is helping the world become better universal drinkers with their new video featuring toasting etiquette around the world. A few highlights: Clinking glasses may be a festive way to celebrate in the United States, but it's far from acceptable in Hungary (in fact, it's downright offensive). In China, everyone involved in the toasting clinks their glasses lower than their hosts as a sign of respect. Drinking in Japan is truly a shared experience—you should never pour your own beer and always pour your neighbor's.
