Oasis Wants to Give AirBnB a Run for its Money
Oasis—a short-term rental company with branches in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Florianópolis, and Sao Paolo—is taking its act to Europe and the U.S. As of this summer, clients can find luxury apartments in Paris, Barcelona, London, New York, Los Angeles, and more.
Founded in Buenos Aires in 2008 by Parker Stanberry and now headquartered in Miami, Oasis sets itself apart from other rental companies by providing guests with complimentary access to private members’ clubs, like the recently-opened Clubhouse Rio, in order to interact with locals; in-home personal chefs; and 24-7 concierge service to help clients with everything from restaurant reservations to scoring tickets to a must-see show. The company is set to expand to further locations in the US, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia by 2018. And, calling all Olympics fans: If you’re looking for a place to stay in Rio in 2016, Oasis is expecting to host 1,000 guests.
