Flying down to Havana and Montserrat
HAVANA NONSTOP This summer, Virgin Atlantic became the first and only British airline to offer nonstop flights from London to Havana. Over the past eight years, there has been a nearly 20 percent annual increase in the number of British citizens traveling to Cuba.
from the ashes A decade after the Soufrière Hills volcano erupted and ravaged the tiny Caribbean island of Montserrat, travelers are returning. In July, Gerald's Airport opened after an $18.5 million renovation, welcoming four daily flights from Antigua and two from St. Maarten. (Until now, ferries and helicopters were the only way to reach the island.)
