If you're still on the hunt for a Halloween costume, Google has your back. The new "Frightgeist" app from Google is every last-minute costume purchaser's dream, considering it takes away the risk of debuting a completely lame outfit pulled together from items from the back of your closet. Its entire purpose is pulling together the most popular costumes in the United States by region, in list form or the much more interactive heat map version.

Frightgeist pulls the top 500 costumes, according to Google Search and Google Trends. If your local costume shop is doing it right, they're most likely going to have a few of these ready for the big night. Get searching: Check out the full list on Google.
