Ithaca, New York Gets Its Very Own Diagon Alley for Halloween
It’s your lucky day, Potterheads.
Calling all muggles and wizard-lovers: Ithaca’s Press Bay Alley will be transforming into a very different (read: magical) sort of alley come October 31st. Potter fans from all over will head to Ithaca, New York this Saturday, wands at the ready and eager to meander down the famous Diagon Alley in celebration of the community’s Wizarding Weekend. The best part: It’s as free as Sirius Black.
In addition to this exciting transformation, there will also be film screenings (Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, as well as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), a House Cup Competition, Quidditch matches (featuring electric broomstick bikes), a Horcrux hunt, Wizarding duels, petronous portraits, Stick the Sock on Dobby, and other magical activities.
Food trucks will provide Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans, Butter Beer, and more. All activities will begin at 1 p.m. at 118 W Green Street. Book your travel tickets now—or, just hop on your Nimbus2001.
