The best reason to visit Italy this year is Expo Milano 2015.
Gateway to Italy, Milan is gearing up for an influx of travelers to the Universal Exhibition. Many will combine it with trips elsewhere in Italy, since the country’s modern, efficient trains make transport easy and convenient. Yet if you want to know Italy, its most stylish city is an ideal place to start.
TRAVELING TO & AROUND EXPO MILANO 2015
Half an hour from Piazza del Duomo, the Expo Milano 2015 fairgrounds are convenient to highways and Milanese public transportation. A high-speed rail line and the metro both connect here. Malpensa Airport is twenty minutes away.
Once you arrive, multimedia kiosks are stationed throughout the grounds to help guide visitors to what they want to see. Smartphone users who download the free Expo Milano 2015 app can count on it to help navigate the fair and also buy tickets. It includes an interactive map of the exposition site and can send alerts about scheduled events based on one’s location and interests.

Older kids may appreciate Biodiversity Park, where they can touch, smell, and even eat greenhouse plants. Arts & Foods Pavilion, held at the Palazzo della Triennale in Milan, will focus on visual, sculptural and environmental forms that express the world of food, nutrition, and dining together. It will also cater to children the specially designed exhibitions.
