Disneyland officials announced today that the resort will be shutting down multiple popular park attractions to make room for the newest addition: Star Wars Land. The good news: Construction of the 14-acre attraction is set to begin in 2016, and will be the largest single-themed land expansion of the resort. Visitors can enjoy the preliminary stages of the “Star Wars Experience,” starting on Nov. 16, where guests can meet their favorite "Star Wars" characters and have the opportunity to try out several of the new attractions.

The bad news: Areas of the resort being closed down in the coming year include the railroad, Fantasmic! and all attractions along the Rivers of America. Also notable, the Big Thunder Ranch will close down permanently in January. Hopefully your favorites aren't on the list.
