One of the most popular cocktails served at Oahu’s Turtle Bay Resort is the Peligroso Coco Margarit-O. Why? Because when you blend toasted coconut with tequila, magic happens.
“It’s not the drink you expect when you come to Hawaii,” says the resort's director of beverage, Tom Gaffey. “It’s a blended cocktail and also a blended margarita. So it’s sort of the best of both worlds when you want something that has strength with tequila, but also with that tropical quality of toasted coconut, which is blended inside the drink and topped with it.”

Peligroso Coco Margarit-O
1.5 oz. Peligroso Tequila
Small bunch of fresh mint (for blending)
2 oz. fresh crème of coconut
1 tablespoon toasted coconut for blending and 1 teaspoon for garnish
.75 oz. house-made lime sour (equal parts lime sour and simple syrup)
Blend all ingredients, top with toasted coconut. Garnish with lime sprig or cherry.
