Joel Meyerowitz’s influential photography book, Cape Light, is back.
Cape Cod is an annual summer destination to many leisure-seeking New Englanders. On the dawn of modern color photography in the late 20th century, Joel Meyerowitz captured the now-iconic, serene luminance of a simpler life on the Cape.
Thirty-five years ago, these photographs broke new ground in how film in an 8” x 10” view camera could reproduce the colors and intensity of light, making color photography more accepted in the art world.
