Tried-and-true beauty staples will always have a place in your cosmetic case, but a spontaneous summer getaway calls for trying something new. Enter Gap’s latest collaboration with Birchbox.

The heritage fashion brand will be hosting Birchbox pop-ups within seven stores across major cities like New York, San Francisco, Chicago, L.A., and Houston from now until the end of July.

While the subscription beauty box service has a permanent store in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, this is its first foray into the retail space on a national level, and each pop-up will function a little differently.

Some will sell premade, carry-on ready beauty boxes for men and women (each with a curated selection of TSA-friendly hair, skincare, and makeup products), while others—like the Gap locations in New York’s Herald Square and San Francisco’s Market Street—offer a build-your-own-box bar where customers can select their five favorites from a variety of travel-sized samples for just $15.

A selection of full-sized products is also available at several stores, if your summer beauty fling turns into a long-term affair.
