Some people spend decades hoping to spot a white whale off the coasts of Australia, but you can see one right now in this drone video.

Murdoch University recently shared the video which shows how they use drones to study whales. Using various geo-tagging devices and other tracking methods, the drone footage helps look into how the whales interact with each other and their annual migration patterns.

The drones allow scientists to observe these mammals without actually disturbing them.

Make sure to stick around until the 1:30 mark to see an adorable clip of a rare white whale calf having some fun with its mother.
