You Can Visit a Few Real Reindeer in Kentucky This Holiday Season
The town of Bowling Green, Kentucky wants to make sure this is truly the most wonderful time of the year for its visitors. So, it’s inviting everyone to step outside and meet a few seasonally appropriate four-legged friends.
Throughout the month of December, the town is inviting locals and visitors to its first-ever Reindeer Farm.
“The Reindeer Farm, nestled on our small family farm in Bowling Green, KY is your new holiday tradition,” the farm explains. “Come experience the magic of Christmas and meet our live reindeer.”
According to the farm, visitors can not only meet the reindeer, but also learn more about the animal, its environment, and their history. Guests can also stay for storytime with some special friends from the North Pole, and take part in its crafting time. Smaller guests can also enjoy its indoor playground, and those who are looking for a holiday treat can indulge in the farm’s food trucks.
“The Reindeer Farm is sure to warm your heart and make lasting memories. Don’t forget your camera as there will be plenty of photo opportunities,” the farm said.
For those who are looking to go a bit more in-depth or those who want to have a more socially distanced trip, the farm is also offering personal tours with a reindeer encounter.
The Reindeer Farm is open now through Jan. 17 for visitors. Its hours are Fridays and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. General admission is $12 per person, but children under 2 years old can visit for free.
