Pets-Only Hotels

There are a growing number of amazing hotels just for your pet—no people, please!

There are three locations for this dog and cat resort—two in Chicago and one in Dallas/Ft. Worth—each near airports. Accommodations include large dog suites, as well as a gated community of bungalows for cats (select bungalows have window perches and fish aquariums). Dogs can exercise in the indoor grass area and splash in a bone-shaped pool. For cats, there’s an Adventure Jungle for climbing custom-made cat trees. Dog suites from $49/night; Cat bungalows from $27/night.

With hotels in Hollywood, Scottsdale, and New York your pup will live a life of luxury while you vacation. In New York, accommodations range from standard suites that have Kuranda doggie beds and flat screen TVs to the Uber suite which has modern full-size beds and 42” flat screen TVs. The New York hotels also has three indoor dog parks, a gym, and a chauffeur service. Spa services including massages, vitamin baths, Pawdicures, body wraps, aromatherapy, and more. Suites from $79/night.

Both large chain hotels and smaller boutique properties are becoming more pet-friendly. You’ll find a range of services and amenities guests and their furry friends can enjoy at these hotels.

Kimpton Hotels: Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City

Visiting dogs at Kimpton’s Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City receive a goody bag filled with a bag of doggie treats, a map of area dog parks and walking areas, and a pooper-scooper bag upon request. They also offer pet walking and sitting services, day care, grooming and spa services through preferred pet services providers. Even better? Pets accompanied by guests at Hotel Monaco stay for free. Rates from $109/night.

Affinia Hotels: Affinia Manhattan

An official hotel of the Westminster Dog Show, Affinia Manhattan was host to the best-in-show winner two years in a row and they have a suite available to the show dogs with puppy treadmills, treats and more during the show. Their regular pet program VIPaws is available for $25 per stay, and includes a $10 donation to the Humane Society of New York, a rope toy by Jax & Bones, allergen-free dog beds filled with eco-friendly fiber upon request, in addition to food and water bowls, dog treats and more. Affinia Manhattan can help arrange additional services, including consultations with a pet psychic, walking/pet-sitting, grooming, and doggie cakes for special occasions. Rates from $199/night.

Indigo Hotels: Hotel Indigo Asheville

Dogs visiting the Hotel Indigo in Asheville are welcomed with a handmade doggie bone with their name on it. But dogs aren’t the only animals welcome here. A variety of pets can stay, from mini pigs to monkeys. Several times a year the hotel hosts a “Yappy Hour” and the proceeds benefit a local animal shelter and the Brother Wolf organization. Rates from $169/night weekdays; From $229-$299/night weekends.

Loews Hotels & Resorts: Loews Annapolis

Loews Loves Pets program at Loews Annapolis offers room service menus for cats and dogs, along with bedding, leashes, collars, litter boxes (and litter), pooper scoopers, as well as dog-walking routes, pet placemats, water bowls, rawhide bones, and catnip and scratch poles. The hotel also offers pet-walking and pet-sitting services. Pets stay for a fee of $25 per stay. Rates from $189/night.

El Portal was built with wood and tile flooring throughout the hotel to accommodate canine visitors and has 1,000 square feet of dog-friendly patio that’s fenced off for your pet’s protection. Rates from $159/night.

Nemacolin’s Pet Proud program comes with full-service grooming, water facilities for pets to swim in, and massage services. There are also scheduled activities for owners and their pets to participate in every day.
