This Dog Festival in England Is Like Coachella for Your Four-legged Friends (Video)

There are two kinds of people in the world: People who merely like dogs and those who are so utterly obsessed with their pooch that they’d fly across the ocean to attend an entire festival dedicated to their pup. If you’re the type who just tolerates dogs this article isn’t for you. But if you’re in the latter camp, boy oh boy do we have something or you.

Canine lovers everywhere are invited to Dogstival, an all-out dog fiesta at the Pylewell Park Estate in the New Forest, England from May 16 to 17.

This year’s event features an array of activities to take part in with your four-legged best friend, including doggy paddle boarding, otherwise known as SUP with Pup, and a canine chill-out zone where dogs can mix and mingle together.

The event also has plenty of competitions to take part in like an agility and flyball course. Owners and pups can also head to a number of learning activities and seminars at the behavior stage. There, owners can meet with animal behaviorist Natalie Light to learn practical skills to reinforce good behaviors, figure out why their dog is always chewing things or shows aggression, fix social phobia issues, learn about enriching games, and more.

For those hoping to keep their pup healthy for longer, there will be a healthy hound den, run by television host and veterinarian Dr. Scott Miller. In the den, owners can learn the basics of canine first aid, take a few lessons on wellbeing, and how to keep a dog healthy long into its senior years.

And, for anyone who is extremely confident that their dog is the most beautiful dog in the world, there is the dog modeling contest. Prizes will be given out to the most glamorous dogs out there, but don’t worry, anyone who owns a dog is already a winner.

As for accommodations, the festival has plenty of glamping options still open so you can live in style all weekend with your bud. For ticketing and more information check out Dogstival’s website and please, for the love of god, tag us in all your photos if you go.
