Even if you can’t travel right now, United has some special ways for you to enjoy the friendly skies in your next Zoom meeting. And one of them is encouraging people to get involved in the democratic process.

United Airlines released a new set of Zoom backgrounds for people to use on Zoom or Microsoft Teams. One of the new backgrounds features an image of one of the carrier’s planes with big red-and-blue letters that say “VOTE.”

“Our mission is to connect people and unite the world — and one of the most important ways to do that is to engage in the democratic process,” United said in a statement. “No matter which party you support, we know our democracy will be stronger if you make your voice heard and vote.”

But beyond the election, people can also enjoy backgrounds that celebrate travel, like a background of the company’s Polaris lounge, for a bit of travel luxury. Or, enjoy a background featuring a Polaris first-class seat if you just want to imagine you’re on vacation.

Another background is a first-hand look into a United aircraft cockpit, so you can pretend you’re doing the driving. Other backgrounds include images of United’s aircraft, including a gorgeous shot of a sunset over a plane wing.

In order to use on Zoom, download your favorite image to your computer or mobile device, open the Zoom app, and select “choose virtual background.” If you’re using these backgrounds on Microsoft Teams, download the image and copy it to the appropriate folder on your computer (file path is noted on a the statement from United) in order to add it to the app, then select it from the menu bar.
