On Sunday, Southwest Airlines launched daily, non-stop flights to the Turks and Caicos Islands from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The airline also increased service to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic — both can now be reached from Southwest's south Florida gateway.

In true Southwest fashion, the new connections to Costa Rica and the Caribbean are joined by an airfare sale, which includes low fares on flights to destinations all across the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico.

The new Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, route is available for $69 one-way, while flights to Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, start at $132. Return flights to Florida from Turks and Caicos cost $145, with return flights from the Dominican Republic start at $171.

Travelers will also find deals on trips to Belize ($69 one-way), the Cayman Islands ($59 one-way), the Bahamas ($69 one-way) and Cancún ($92 one-way) from Fort Lauderdale.

Southwest also offers complimentary checked bags and zero change fees, so this is one of the best budget options to get away this winter.

To take advantage of these low fares, travel must be booked by November 9, 11:59 p.m. local time. Cheap flights are available from November 14 until December 13, and from January 9 until March 1, with some additional blackout dates.
