Norwegian Air launches $79 one-way flights to the French Caribbean
Looking for an island getaway that won't break the bank this year?
Norwegian Air is offering cheap flights to both Martinique and Guadeloupe from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Providence, Rhode Island, to celebrate the launch of new non-stop and expanded services at the two airports.
Beginning Wednesday, travelers can book flights to both Guadeloupe and Martinique from both destinations starting at $79 one-way, with return fares starting at $134.
“The new connection from Providence, with its great proximity to both Boston and Connecticut, is exciting as it will allow more American travelers much smoother and more affordable access to the Guadeloupe Islands,” said Sandra Venite, of the Guadeloupe Islands Tourist Board, in a statement.
The new routes also give travelers a cheap option for getting to the mountain-studded terrain of Martinique.
“A vacation in Martinique is a superb experience; there is a ‘je ne sais quoi’ to be remembered in its vibrant culture, delicious cuisine, magnificent gardens, and most importantly, in the warmth of its people,” said Muriel Wiltord, director Americas of the Martinique Promotion Bureau.
Flights from Providence’s T.F. Green Airport will start October 29. Flights from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Martinique start on October 30, and to Guadeloupe on November 2.
Norwegian is also offering cheap fares to Rome from several U.S. cities.
