As the busiest airport in the world, Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson has dozens of hotels that are all within an extremely short drive from the terminals. You don’t even need to leave the airport itself to find a place to spend the night.

People from all across the world end up in Atlanta. And while most will successfully make their connection and continue crisscrossing the world, others may not be so lucky. Some will be forced to book an airport hotel.

Or, no need to be pessimistic; perhaps you just want to stay close to the airport! Hartsfield-Jackson is located about seven miles south of central Atlanta and access to the city is available via MARTA public transportation — so there’s no real reason to choose between an airport hotel and a visit to the state capital.

No matter your reason for needing an airport accommodation, we’ve got you covered. Within just a few miles of Hartsfield-Jackson, there are options for budget travelers, luxury seekers, location prioritists, AV geeks, and even culinary fanatics.

Scroll through to discover nine of the best Atlanta airport hotels, all with unbelievably easy access to Hartsfield-Jackson.

Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway

You can take the ATL SkyTrain straight from your terminal to the hotel doors and the journey will only take about two minutes. Once you’re checked in, you’ll enjoy all that the hotel has to offer, including an indoor saltwater pool.

To book: from $123 per night

Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel

This is another hotel that’s accessible for free from the airport via the 24/7 SkyTrain. The vibe at the Renaissance is modern and urban, with small pops of color throughout the space. It was only opened in 2017, so it still has that new-hotel smell.

To book: from $139 per night

Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel

You can’t get any closer to the airport than this, as this hotel is pretty much directly overlooking the runways of Hartsfield-Jackson. It’s the perfect booking for aviation enthusiasts, who can watch planes taking off from their beds.

To book: from $104 per night

Holiday Inn Atlanta Airport South

When you need a good, clean, efficient hotel with close proximity to the airport, this is your booking. It’s located adjacent to the airport and a shuttle will get you to your terminal doors in about five minutes.

This hotel is an excellent option for night owls (or those whose sleep schedules are off due to changing time zones). Check out isn’t until noon and the fitness center is open 24 hours a day, so you can stay up late and sleep in. The hotel runs a shuttle to the airport, which takes about five minutes.

To book: from $111 per night

La Quinta Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport South

This is a solid, pet-friendly option that will ring in at less than $100 per night. It’s a five-minute shuttle to the airport and the hotel will get you there for free.

To book: from $94 per night

Staybridge Suites Atlanta Airport

If you prefer to have your own kitchen, this all-suite hotel is the best option for you. The hotel also offers a daily breakfast buffet and, because this is Georgia, you can even use their barbecue equipment. The hotel is three miles from the airport, about a five-minute drive.

Go the luxury route at this four-star hotel. You can order in-room spa services — which we would recommend if you’ve got a runway-facing view. If not, head to the rooftop bar to watch planes as they take off and land and peep in on the nearby Porsche handling course. Once it’s time to leave, the free airport shuttle will get you to the airport in less than five minutes.

To book: from $119 per night

Maison LaVigne

You can opt for the small bed-and-breakfast route and still have easy access to Hartsfield-Jackson. Maison LaVigne advertises itself as a gourmet B&B where you can partake in high tea or culinary lessons. The cozy vibes make it feel a world away from the transportation hub, even though it’s just a five-minute drive away.

To book: from $135 per night
