If you've ever wondered what it looks like when your airplane lands, a recently posted YouTube video will answer just that. The footage shows an airplane landing at the San Francisco International Airport, shot from a parallel-flying airplane that lands at the same moment (which is much more meditative to watch than you'd think). There are a few interesting things that you wouldn't necessarily notice as a passenger inside the airplane: 1) there's an extended "arm" coming off of the actual landing strip that seems to serve as a guide for pilots making a clean entry, 2) it looks much smoother than it feels, and 3) you really aren't as close to the water as you think you are when peering down from an airplane portal window.
