Pre- and post-cruise excursions are meticulously planned by Turpin. One recent client trip included a three-day tour of Rome with a private entrance to the Sistine Chapel and the Catacombs, plus a similar, exclusive viewing of David in Florence. Lately, Turpin has seen an “explosion in the expedition market. We see brand new products by Crystal and Ponant, and great ships by Seabourn and Silversea.”
Also exciting for travelers, Turpin notes, is the fact that these new vessels are going to all sorts of fascinating places. “The itineraries that are offered are vast, and no longer just about, say, Antarctica. Expedition ships are sailing to the far reaches of Russia, Japan, and New Zealand,” she explains. “Expedition cruising has offered us a chance to introduce cruising to people who would never want to do a river or ocean cruise. It has opened up a new market of younger, more adventurous travelers.”

"I have been working with Ruth Turpin since 2001 and have booked about 30 trips with her. She works very hard to furnish information in a timely manner and is not finished with a booking until her customers are satisfied. She’s extremely well connected and will get any discounts available. Ruth has been and will continue to be our travel agent in the future. Her opinion is very valuable. " - Wayne Tomasek
